  1. Awesome!

I was very much frustrated before…. I visited 100s of sites, no solution…
    But, your method is awesome.
    Thanks,
    Paul

  2. Many Thanks to you, this is awesome.

I followed every step as you mentioned. But I really need your help with a peculiar problem I am facing. I imported all contacts as you mentioned from my Nokia E63. But when I go to contacts in the new Andriod Phone, I am unable to see any contact listed there. When someone from my contacts list calls me, I see their name, but cannot see anyone in the contacts list. I have enabled display SIM contacts too, yet nothing. I am using Dell Streak 5 with Andriod 2.2.2.

Can you please help, I will be very grateful to any suggestions to help me out.

  3. Dear juzhax,

  9. Ok so! The easiest, no time consuming at all and the most effective method I could find is to sync your Nokia contacts with google and get them on your android phone. On most Nokia s60 phones an application named “mail for exchange” is per installed or can be installed from Nokia store for free. To setup a google account in mail for exchange follow instructions on http://support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=147951

While setting up, only select contacts to be synced and select “no” for everything else if your only goal is to transfer contacts. When setup is complete, in “mail for exchange” app opened, select “options” and select “synchronize”. All your contacts will be on google in seconds. Later, just sync your android phone with your google account and all your contacts are there.

Keep in mind to be patient. “Mail for exchange” pauses for a moment after every 50 contacts have transferred. This is the most helpful method I could find after a whole night’s research and it really worked for me.

  10. I’m using this way because we could have double backup, the vcf file, if something wrong with the server we still can restore without any problem.

  11. it says target memory is full(but I have 11 mb free space in it ) and it gives me that message even just for contact. what is wrong?

  12. Maybe your memory card have problem.
Try to copy all data from your SDcard ( memory card ) to your PC, then format the SDcard, and copy back all the data into it.
Then try to run the export contact again.

  13. Took me a day of digital suffering until I found this article and transferred my contacts from Nokia C5 to a (still annoying) Orange Boston… Thanks.

  14. Thanks, I need your help to continue. Actually i didnt find the “root directory” folder in the SD, and i paste the vsf. files to folder calles LOST.DIR but it didnt work ?

  15. i followed the steps given and the transfer of contacts between my nokia e52 and my new samsung galaxy ace plus worked perfectly fine. just took me 10 minutes and most importantly i didn’t have to use ANY app. or mobile software !!
    thank you bro!

  16. Hi, juzhax,
I couldn’t find the link or icon to the Menu under the Contacts in my Galaxy Note

    4.Main Menu -> Contacts -> Menu -> Import/Export -> Import from SD card -> Phone-Only

    Thank you.

  17. Juzhax.. I just want to say, thank you so much for your advice!
I searched and searched and couldnt find a simple way to transfer the contacts.. and then I found your article.

    Problem solved in 10minutes! :D

Your method is so straight forward I personally think it should be included all Android phone manuals. :) Thanks again.

  18. Hi thanks for this helpful post. An even easier way I used to transfer 502 contacts from my Nokia 6120 Classic to my Samsung Galaxy Y Duos was to save all my contacts to the Micro SD card in my Nokia (following steps 1-3 above), than simply take it out and put it in the Samsung.. Then select and hey presto it located all the .vcf files loaded them all up. Didn’t need a computer or any software. Couldn’t be easier!!

  19. Another simple method: select all contact on the Nokia phone and send to new android phone over bluetooth. Worked for me. Fast and simple

  20. I am trying to send my contacts via bluetooth from my Nokia E71 to Samsung Galaxy S11 but the Nokia is not detecting the S11, any ideas ?

  21. its very simple, put u r sim in nokia phone copy all contacts from phone to sim then use the same sim in android phone and again copy from sim to phone memory…..

  22. Ebenezer Ked kumi

Hi fellow android users, IF YOU WANT TO TRANSFER ALL YOUR CONTACTS FROM NOKIA WITH ALL YOUR DETAILS PLEASE MARK ALL YOUR CONTACTS AND SEND VIA BUSINESS CARD TO THE ANDROID PHONE(TURN ON THE BLUETOOTH)………IT WORKS LIKE MAGIC WITH EVERY DETAIL: CONTACT IMAGE,EMAIL AND EVERYTHING

  23. Dude help me I have 2000 contacts, I am able to copy all of the contacts but certain contacts have more than 4 mobile number, it only takes the default number, kindly assists? Pls

  24. Thank you very much for taking the time to record the above transfer instructions for contacts from Nokia to Samsung. I’d tried everything that the phone had to offer without success. Your instructions, unlike so many on the Net actually worked and could be followed.

You proved to be a time and grey hair saver.

I will be checking your site first in future to see if you have information on what I require. Cheers…

  25. Amazing how simple this procedure is but manufacturers don’t tell you anything. I did what you said in the E71 portion and then I just transferred the SD card into my Lenovo – Bingo ! Thank you !

  26. mine is express music and it’s not working :( I’m only able to copy from phone to sim and from sim to phone :(

  27. I´m not sure, but I assume this transfer works only in PCs (Wintoosa), not in MacOSX, I do get the copying work in nokia E75, but the bluetooth does not find any contacts anymore in MAc (in none of the folders seen in bluetooth browser or in nokia decice browser for Mac, neither in Kies nor in Finder window… I did get the Android to sync with my macBookPro but I still have my contacts in the f….king Nokia, did safety copies of 3 former Nokias too (E7 and A 95) but those files do not open anymore since the phones are totally dead – the usb-connection-outlet was broken and therefore was not possible to plug in for power… this is somewhat “interesting” …

  28. Ahh, had BIG diffilulties, but at last I got the contacts to my macboopro via taking the lovely SMALL memorycard to my Mac and AHH I FOUND MY CONTACTS and got them to mac table… I guess the export to Android will be a lot easier. Goodbye NOKIA´S… it´s been a long time with you (and i am finnish, nokia was born here as Mobira…!), now I expect the chinese wisdom to do it a lot easier… :D

  29. Thank u loadz… :) I was wasting hours finding a way.. Tried so many options and was fed up with this… Finally, found this and it worked fine… :) thanks again for your kind support… :)
