excellent …
it works perfectly…
recommended 5 stars.
thank you,
Awesome!
I was very much frustrated before…. I visited 100s of sites, no solution…
But, your method is awesome.
Thanks,
Paul
Can I then remove the .vcf files? Ah don’t have the patience to wait I’ll just do it.
You should copy the vcf to another place to prevent over write.
Lifesaver.
Thanks
Many Thanks to you, this is awesome.
I followed every step as you mentioned. But I really need your help with a peculiar problem I am facing. I imported all contacts as you mentioned from my Nokia E63. But when I go to contacts in the new Andriod Phone, I am unable to see any contact listed there. When someone from my contacts list calls me, I see their name, but cannot see anyone in the contacts list. I have enabled display SIM contacts too, yet nothing. I am using Dell Streak 5 with Andriod 2.2.2.
Can you please help, I will be very grateful to any suggestions to help me out.
inside the Contact … Display Options … Choose contacts to display, try the settings there to display your contacts.
Dear juzhax,
Than you from your procedure. But my Sum-song Galaxy SII (GT-I9100G) does not allow to me to make a copy (I can just read USB storage, and I cant to write on it when I plug to PC! please help me.
Thanks
Mahmoud
Would you happen to know … how to transfer them to the Galaxy Note? I don’t have an SD card… and thus my issue?
Would really appreciate it.
(from an e75)
Dear juzhax,
Thank you from your instruction, but I still waiting to receive your advise to my problem as following:
I can not paste contact files to my new mobile Samsung Galaxy-SII, because it is read only and paste bottom is off. please reply.
Thanks
Mahmoud
Galaxy Note does have microSD, you can copy to the microSD there.
If without sd, you could try the usb and turn on mass storage.
You can copy to your SDcard using USB mass storage way.
Thank you.
You are welcome.
works like magic. reali appreciate that u took the time to post this.
Juzhax…you are great!! It worked like magic. Could transfer all my contacts from Nokia E71 to Samsung Galaxy Note within a couple of minutes.
Tons of thanks to you!!
Reli thx a lot! the most direct and simplest way :) searched for many sites already but still to no avail…
Thx!!!
Thanks for the info. Very happy! was going grey on this one, like an idiot I forgot to transfer all my contacts across to my new phone.
Top Info!!

Ok so! The easiest, no time consuming at all and the most effective method I could find is to sync your Nokia contacts with google and get them on your android phone. On most Nokia s60 phones an application named “mail for exchange” is per installed or can be installed from Nokia store for free. To setup a google account in mail for exchange follow instructions on http://support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=147951
While setting up, only select contacts to be synced and select “no” for everything else if your only goal is to transfer contacts. When setup is complete, in “mail for exchange” app opened, select “options” and select “synchronize”. All your contacts will be on google in seconds. Later, just sync your android phone with your google account and all your contacts are there.
Keep in mind to be patient. “Mail for exchange” pauses for a moment after every 50 contacts have transferred. This is the most helpful method I could find after a whole night’s research and it really worked for me.
I’m using this way because we could have double backup, the vcf file, if something wrong with the server we still can restore without any problem.
it says target memory is full(but I have 11 mb free space in it ) and it gives me that message even just for contact. what is wrong?
Maybe your memory card have problem.
Try to copy all data from your SDcard ( memory card ) to your PC, then format the SDcard, and copy back all the data into it.
Then try to run the export contact again.
Awesome! Thanx!!!!
Took me a day of digital suffering until I found this article and transferred my contacts from Nokia C5 to a (still annoying) Orange Boston… Thanks.
Thank you, you no need buy any software to apps to do that.
Thanks, I need your help to continue. Actually i didnt find the “root directory” folder in the SD, and i paste the vsf. files to folder calles LOST.DIR but it didnt work ?
Near Nader, the root directory =
/ <==========
the most outside directory.
i followed the steps given and the transfer of contacts between my nokia e52 and my new samsung galaxy ace plus worked perfectly fine. just took me 10 minutes and most importantly i didn’t have to use ANY app. or mobile software !!
thank you bro!
The most easy… mark all and send them through bluetooth!!!
How about if you have more than 1000 contacts ?
Hi, juzhax,
I couldn’t find the link or icon to the Menu under the Contacts in my Galaxy Note
4.Main Menu -> Contacts -> Menu -> Import/Export -> Import from SD card -> Phone-Only
Thank you.
Juzhax.. I just want to say, thank you so much for your advice!
I searched and searched and couldnt find a simple way to transfer the contacts.. and then I found your article.
Problem solved in 10minutes! :D
Your method is so straight forward I personally think it should be included all Android phone manuals. :) Thanks again.
Works very well….thanks
super…. most easiest and simplest ever… thanks a lot
It worked Surprisingly Well,Thanks a lot :)
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooo…thank you……thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooo much……….
thanks so much………………………
Hi thanks for this helpful post. An even easier way I used to transfer 502 contacts from my Nokia 6120 Classic to my Samsung Galaxy Y Duos was to save all my contacts to the Micro SD card in my Nokia (following steps 1-3 above), than simply take it out and put it in the Samsung.. Then select and hey presto it located all the .vcf files loaded them all up. Didn’t need a computer or any software. Couldn’t be easier!!
I did the same but only 72 contacts were copied what about other 923 contacts. Please say me fast am trying it from 4 days.
Another simple method: select all contact on the Nokia phone and send to new android phone over bluetooth. Worked for me. Fast and simple
Thanks you man !!!!!!!!!!!
It really worked fine and quick :)
tu bara changa maaderchod hai
Super…thaks
I am trying to send my contacts via bluetooth from my Nokia E71 to Samsung Galaxy S11 but the Nokia is not detecting the S11, any ideas ?
its very simple, put u r sim in nokia phone copy all contacts from phone to sim then use the same sim in android phone and again copy from sim to phone memory…..
Thanks, its working :)
Great post. Thanks !
