Automatic login to your Windows 7 Windows Vista

Although I don’t personally recommend this, there are some people out there who don’t want to bother with using a password to protect their Windows user account. Of course, using a password in Windows isn’t required, only suggested. But even if you don’t fill one in, you still have to click your user icon to start the login process.

An easier way – although again much less secure – is to enable auto-logins for your Windows PC. This is possible in Windows 7, as it was in prior versions, but it takes a little finagling to do so. (And for good reason, darn it.)

Still, if you must do this, here’s how:

Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to launch the “Run” dialog box.
Type in control userpasswords2
Press Enter. The User Accounts window will display.
Uncheck the option “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer”
Click “OK”
You will then be prompted to enter the current password and confirm it.
After doing so, you will no longer be prompted to enter your password upon login.

Most of them report as
Version: Google Chrome Canary 12.0.726.0 OS: Windows 7 64-bit Error Message: None, executing the program yields absolutely no results Extensions Installed: One Number, Google Dictionary, Google Voice, AdBlock (however the problem has been reproduced with no extensions)

Normally Google Chrome upgarding in background, and yesterday 05/04/2001 version crash the extension part, so cause the Google Chrome Canary Build cannot be run.

Here is the solution to run the Chrome Canary again.

1. Download again the lastest version from here.

2. Disable the extension by using ( –disable-extensions flag ). Click Windows Start, Program Files tab , Google Chrome Canary Build, Right click on the Google Chrome Canary Build Icon, and Please follow the image below.

3. View the Google Chrome Canary Build latest blog post from here.

4. If still cannot run, you have to wait the next release.

** Please remove the –disable-extensions flag after the upgraded version of Google Chrome Canary Build release, because this flag will disable you access to the extensions.

ReferenceError: UNLIMITED_CPS is not defined.

You may see this error while using Firefox Throttle.

Firefox Throttle is a very good plugin for you to limit the speed for upload and download with your browser firefox.
You can limit for uploading to youtube or downloading from site and you can use another browser to browse smoothly like IE or Chrome, while you are in low bandwidth places.

To solve this problem, make sure you must check the

2. Throttle upload

If you uncheck any of them the error will be displayed.

Where to download Google Chrome 7 Canary Build ?

Many of you, still using the Google Chrome 6 or 7, as now the current version is 7.0.517.24. And when you click About Google Chrome, it shown up that Google Chrome is up to date 7.0.517.24.

Actually still got another version that newer than this, it is Google Chrome Canary Build.

The current version is 7.0.540.0. It will be a separate version of Google Chrome that with yellow icon. And it will upgrade automatically.

UPX – notes

NOTE: for experienced users only. if shits happen, at least you will know what to do.

UPX is a nice small tool to compress executables into smaller size. this makes them load faster. with the most common hardware today (i.e. fast CPU and abundant RAM), this is a good thing to do.

for instance, this is how i compress my Mozilla Firefox in Microsoft Windows:

first, make sure Firefox are not running.
download upx from sf.net. get the windows version (archive filename should be something like upxxxxw.zip).
open the zip file and extract only upx.exe (this is the only executable that you need to do the job)
my firefox was installed in c:\Program Files\mozilla\firefox. so i put upx.exe inside the folder (actually, i put it into my folder that store essential files, and then i put the folder path into my user-only PATH environment variable. this means i can access them anywhere in command prompt just by typing the file name, instead of full path).
run command prompt. in Windows 7 (or Vista), you can do this by clicking on the start button > All Programs > Accessories > right-click on the Command Prompt and select “Run as administrator” (you need to make sure that the command prompt is run under the privilege of administrator, unless you have turned off UAC entirely)
change the current directory to your Firefox installation folder. for me that means typing cd “c:\Program Files\mozilla\firefox”

when you are in the correct directory, type the following, and let it run until it stops:
for %v in (*.exe *.dll components\*.dll plugins\*.dll) do upx “C:\Program Files\mozilla\firefox\%v”
that’s all.

you can try it on other applications too. but bear in mind that if shits happen, it’s not my fault.

Random freezes in Windows 7 64bits

If you feel random freezes in Windows 7 64 Bits or random freeze in Google Chrome, FireFox, IE8, IE9. I’m sure is the problem of your hard disk. You need to try few of the hard disk application tools or utilities to check out the error. I did to use scan disk and other disk scanning tools that scanning in Vista. I can’t find the solution of it, so I decide to format and do clean install to Windows 7 64bits. But I get the same problem – random freezes again. I keep find the solution in internet, and I found the tools HD Tune Pro. You could download using Vuze for the newest version. Try to view the S.M.A.R.T first see weather have Raw Read Error or Raw Write Error or Current Pending Sector.

If the data is showed that more than 0, means you have problem of your hard disk, you shouldn’t use the hard disk to store important data. Try to do Error scan, I’m sure you would have some bad sector on it. So, I found the bad sector and I’ve already sent my hard disk to claim.

One important things that you need to do before send your hard disk to claim. I suggest you to clone your HDD to a new one, using Acronis Disk Director 11 that you can download in Vuze too. After cloning your HDD. Try to un-partition the old HDD and Erase with zero-fill in HD Tune Pro. Because if you only format the HDD, technician or other people can retrieve your data from your HDD. Make sure you clean your data before pass your HDD to anyone.

WD10EADS

Normally HDD do have 3 years or 5 years warranty. I was using WD10EADS, I’ve send to the computer shop to claim. Now I’m using the newest WD Caviar Green WD20EARS 2TB SATA Transfer Rate 3Gb/s IntelliPower Buffer 64MB. It is smooth and without any problem. My motherboard is Intel DG35EC that support up to 8GB Ram, so I’ve upgrade increase another 2GB of RAM, KINGSTON DDR2 RAM 2GB PC6400 (800Mhz) KVR800D2N5/2G, now I’m using 6GB of them. I’m happy with them.

Every time after you scandisk or chkdsk in Windows boot up, it will store the log file to your windows.
But where is it ?

So, you just right click My Computer … Manage … System Tools … Event Viewver … Windows Logs … Application …

Then looking for Wininit, you will found the folloing below.

I just scanned my hard disk and found error. I would like to claim this hard disk on tomorrow.
Sometimes you feel random freeze on your Windows, I guess is the hard disk problem.
You need more tools to check out the bad sector or bad cluster.

Finally I found that to use HD Tune to scan out the error. And then use Acronis Disk Director 11 to fix and repair the error.
For this kind of software, you could search inside the Vuze torrent software.
