HRP 4C

Robot can walk like human soon . . .

Robotics developers at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) have released a video of their HRP-4C “Miim robot” to show how she can walk better than before.

HRP-4C has 30 motors in her body that allow it to walk and move his arms and eight motors on its face to create expressions of human, the robot is based on the User Centered Robot Open architecture using fundamental robotic technologies, including Linux real-time. RT middleware, the robot simulator openHRP3, and voice recognition.
AIST researchers, like other groups of scientists dedicated to robotics, worked hard to create the robot “perfect” walking and to develop technology that can make walking robots of their most closely resemble the way humans walk .
