Installing Firewall using csf(ConfigServer Security & Firewall) on DirectAdmin

CSF is SPI iptables firewall that is comprehensive, straight-forward, easy and flexible to configure

It is very easy to install in DirectAdmin and very easy to setup your iptables without complicated settings.

Here is the command that I use while installing csf in the shell

rm -fv csf.tgz
wget http://www.configserver.com/free/csf.tgz
tar -xzf csf.tgz
cd csf
sh install.sh

If you see this error, you can install the perl-libwww-perl to continue

Configuring for OS

Checking for perl modulesfailed
You need to install the LWP perl module (libwww-perl) and then install csf

yum install perl perl-libwww-perl

Test and make sure all without error.

perl /etc/csf/csftest.pl

Remove the old one in iptables to prevent mess up.

sh /etc/csf/remove_apf_bfd.sh

Open DirectAdmin Directly

After this, you can login to your DirectAdmin directly.

You can see the ConfigServer Firewall&Security at the bottom of your main Admin page, Extra Features there.

It will help you generate the iptables, so you no need to worry and think about it.
