Installing Firewall using csf(ConfigServer Security & Firewall) on DirectAdmin
CSF is SPI iptables firewall that is comprehensive, straight-forward, easy and flexible to configure
It is very easy to install in DirectAdmin and very easy to setup your iptables without complicated settings.
Here is the command that I use while installing csf in the shell
rm -fv csf.tgz wget http://www.configserver.com/free/csf.tgz tar -xzf csf.tgz cd csf sh install.sh
[adrotate banner=”1″]
[adrotate banner=”2″]
If you see this error, you can install the perl-libwww-perl to continue
Configuring for OS Checking for perl modulesfailed You need to install the LWP perl module (libwww-perl) and then install csf yum install perl perl-libwww-perl
Test and make sure all without error.
perl /etc/csf/csftest.pl
Remove the old one in iptables to prevent mess up.
sh /etc/csf/remove_apf_bfd.sh
Open DirectAdmin Directly
After this, you can login to your DirectAdmin directly.
You can see the ConfigServer Firewall&Security at the bottom of your main Admin page, Extra Features there.
It will help you generate the iptables, so you no need to worry and think about it.
